Deneen Klein

Deneen embarked upon a life dedicated to physical fitness and over all health and well-being over 10 years ago. At that time her son was involved in an accident that left him wheelchair bound for several months. Deneen had been a smoker for 17 years and the stress of the accident just compounded her smoking addiction. She made a decision to change her life and turned to fitness. Deneen worked for a school district for 7 years and took over kick boxing classes to help a friend; she enjoyed it so much that she wanted to help others get fit.

Certified through American Council on Exercise, Deneen specialized in Nutrition for food service in the culinary professions. She is currently studying Lifestyle and Weight Management as well as specializing in core, stabilization and balance training.

Deneen has run many 5 and 10K races, 2 Avon Breast Cancer Walks and 2 Susan G. Koman walks. Her most recent achievement has been running the Chicago Marathon this past fall! Her hobbies include dancing to the latest hip-hop tunes with her 16 year old daughter, boating, hiking, long bike rides and sometimes just sitting outside enjoying the quite solitude. Her goal is to learn how to roller blade this spring.

Deneen believes in connecting your brain to your movements. Many people don‚t pay too much attention to their bodies, often forgetting where the muscles are located and what they are used for. Life just seems to get away from most of us and we need to “tune-in” to our bodies and listen to what it is saying to us both nutritionally and physically.
